Embedded Ethernet Essential Training with CubeMX

Project running on the Nucleo Board is not answering to "ping" requests, I don't know if it this behavior is expected.

I was taking the Embedded Eth Ess Training with CubeMx course and I have just completed the "Checking if the cable is connected teacher's video". This example is facing the cable connection state. This print a message when cable is connected and disconnected.
Having the ip adress, mask, gateway values initialized, I was expecting to find that nucleo board was able to answer "pings" request to the host.

But maybe the code need some more configuration/implementation for achieving this functionality.

Is it that way? Should the 01_link_change project be able to respond to ping request from a connected host?

check if the ICMP protocol is active or enabled, ping uses this

Ping command requires communication with a server.
In detection link section, when ping command sends data, it expect response which doesn't occurs.
